The Story Behind the "Journals"
Each journal starts with a simple idea: turning an everyday object into something personal, expressive, and alive. Paula Dautore's planners and notebooks are designed for those who seek inspiration even in small gestures—like writing a list, jotting down a thought, or sketching an idea.
Behind every collection lies the desire to blend creativity and functionality. The design draws inspiration from urban environments, street art, and tactile textures, taking shape in bold and visually impactful graphics. These aren't just notebooks: they're small visual manifestos to carry with you, perfect for those who love to stand out, plan, or gift something original.
My Journey
The project was born from my desire to give voice to the everyday through creativity. I've always been fascinated by the objects we use daily—planners, notebooks, notes—and how they can become extensions of our personality. So I began to create, design, and experiment.
Over time, a true style emerged: modern, spontaneous, inspired by the visual language of the city. Each cover is the result of artistic and graphic research, a mix of intuition and attention to detail. I wanted each product to be beautiful to look at, pleasant to touch, but above all useful—a creative companion for those who write, organize, and dream.
Today, "Paula Dautore ArtCraft" is a growing collection, made of visual stories, bold colors, and materials that speak. It's my way of bringing art into everyday life, one planner at a time.
The Creative Process
Each collection starts from a precise idea, an intuition that speaks of style, moods, and moments. My creative process always begins with observation: I walk, listen, take notes. I gather visual and conceptual inspirations, create mood boards, and experiment. Then I move on to the actual design, where each collection takes shape with its own voice and tone.
"Write with Irony" was born to laugh even on bad days. I play with sharp words, subtle jokes, and expressive lettering. It's my most pop, direct, and lighthearted collection. Perfect for those who write a lot... but don't take themselves too seriously.
"Urban Ink" is the beating heart of the project. Here I pour everything that inspires me from cities: walls, torn posters, graffiti, signs. It's a raw, visceral collection, with tactile textures and strong graphics. Each piece seems to come from a lived diary, worn by time and ideas.
"Stylish Journal" is my more refined side. I work with elegant patterns, minimal geometries, and sophisticated palettes. Here, the keyword is balance: between aesthetics and functionality, between design and practicality. These are notebooks designed for those who love beauty in details, even when writing a list.
"Between the Days" is a collection of planners designed to accompany those who love to organize with inspiration. Each planner is designed to give rhythm to the days, but with delicacy: ample spaces to write, essential graphics, visual details that invite calm and concentration. It's a line designed for those seeking balance between planning and introspection, between doing and feeling.
